To our friends and supporters,
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closing of The Center for Parents and Children. Due to dwindling membership and lack of funds the Board of Directors cast a unanimous vote to terminate The Center’s programs, effective at the end of our spring session, Thursday, May 27, 2010. This brings to a close our not for profit corporation which has served the North Shore community for thirty years.
The Center has provided parents and children with a wonderful environment for play and learning. We have made lifelong friends, shared parenting wisdom and built strong family foundations. Embracing your family’s future has been our mission.
We would like to thank everyone who has been a part of The Center over the years; our Executive Directors and our Boards of Directors, parenting facilitators, play teachers, Mommy and Me instructors, parents and children. In addition we appreciate the support of the community; local donations, legislative awards, professional advice and generous volunteers. Without all of your involvement The Center’s work would not have been possible. We will miss you all.
